Quality Initiatives

Providers, surveyors and the general public use information from the Quality Indicator/ Quality Measures (QI/QMs) and Quality Measures (QMs) to evaluate and compare nursing facilities. Reports for both the QI/QMs and QMs are driven entirely by MDS data.

In addition, the state of Texas publishes information on their nursing homes through the Quality Reporting System (QRS) where a composite score based on the Quality Indicators and survey and investigation results is posted.
